Qualifications
 

The ideal student intern candidate should possess:
 

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Empathy and rapport-building abilities with clients.

• Strong understanding of mental health theories and practices.

• The capability to apply concepts in a clinical setting.

• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently and in teams.

• Commitment to discretion with sensitive information.

• Flexibility and adaptability to respond to dynamic demands in private practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting client intakes, assessments, and treatment planning.

• Providing therapy (individual, group, family) using evidence-based methods.

• Maintaining accurate documentation per ethical and legal standards.

• Participating in weekly supervision sessions for skill enhancement.

• Engaging in group supervision.

• Assisting with community outreach and psychoeducation events.
